Schools should enhance our critical thinking

“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence”, is an interesting quote by Albert Einstein. I personally support this idea and also believe  that everything should be questioned no matter what .For this reason teachers should give students more assignments, where it is necessary to think critically and  reasonably.

Unfortunately, I think that we are not given enough assignments that would force us to think out of the box. For example; we only get homework that can be easily done, just by looking at our notebooks and copying the answers. Although such exercises may prove helpful, no critical thinking is actually needed .I strongly believe that such learning can get boring for some students and many of them are not used to learning from books independently.

What is more, teachers should rely on students’ curiosity. If we are curious about a subject we are much more likely to remember information we learned about that subject. For this reason, students should be encouraged to ask questions and find answers on their own.

In conclusion, schools should help educate students to think differently and creatively. In this way it is less likely that people are manipulated into believing something that is not true. As far as I am concerned critical evaluation can bring only benefits to our private and public lives.
